CourtSide

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026
CourtSide requires an account and syncs your club, tournament, and match data to our backend so it is available across your devices. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use marketing/advertising trackers.

Data we collect

To create your account and identify you: your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us. On first login you choose a display name, and may optionally add your age and playing hand.

Content you and the people in your clubs create — club and tournament names, player names (including guests you add), match scores, sessions, and attendance — is stored on our backend (Supabase) so it can sync across devices and be shared with other members of your club or tournament.

Crash and error reporting

CourtSide uses Sentry to collect anonymized crash and error diagnostics (for example, a stack trace showing where the app failed) so we can find and fix bugs. This is limited to technical failure data — it does not include your player names, matches, scores, or other content, and any user identifier is stripped down to a random ID. It is not used for marketing, advertising, or tracking your activity.

Data we share

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. Your account and app data is processed by our backend provider, Supabase, acting on our behalf to store and sync it. Anonymized crash diagnostics are sent to Sentry, as described above. Club and tournament content you create is visible to other members of that club or tournament — that sharing is the point of the feature, and is not third-party sharing.

Permissions

The app requires network access to sign you in and sync your data.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and app data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: Profile → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent. You can also request deletion from the web if you no longer have the app installed.

Deleting your account erases your profile, email, username, age, playing hand, profile picture, friendships, club memberships, and your device's notification token. Clubs, sessions, tournaments and matches you created remain for the other players who took part, with your creator reference removed — we cannot delete other people's records of a match they played.

Children

CourtSide is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children as their primary user.
